Research Opportunities
Students
conduct
research during the year, both as part of faculty
projects and independently. All seniors in
computer science
undertake the required senior project, a year-long investigation of one
topic. Students who receive a Distinguised Scientist Scholarship
are eligible for summer research funding.
That
particular
areas of faculty expertise can be found on their
resepective web pages.
Senior Project Research
The senior project is required of every Bard student and is
the
culminating experience of four years of academic work at the
college. It is often the longest and most complex piece of
academic work a student undertakes. The senior project in
computer science can be theoretical or applied and is often
interdisciplinary.
